| Team Formats for the 2011-2012 Season: Home Development This is a development program for newer racers that wish to have all training and racing at the Brimacombe Ski Club. Racers must be between the ages of 7-10 as of December 31st of the current year. Teams will be chosen with the objective of balancing the skill level of the athlete as well as the age and gender ratio. Nancy Greene Teams consisting of racers, 7-10 years of age as of December 31st of the current year, will be chosen based on time trial results and gender ratio on each team. The racers compete and are scored as a team. Four races will take place within the regular ski season and will be held at various clubs within Southern Ontario. K1 This is a competitive league for athletes aged 11 and 12 as of December 31st of the current year. Athletes at this level compete in four races at clubs in Southern Ontario as a team and will proceed to semi finals and may proceed to finals as their results indicate. Teams will be selected on the basis of time trial results and gender ratio on each team. K2 This is a competitive league for athletes aged 13 and 14 as of December 31st of the current year. Athletes at this level compete in four races at clubs in Southern Ontario as a team and will proceed to semi finals and may proceed to finals as their results indicate. J League This is a competitive league for athletes aged 15 - 19 years of age as of December 31st of the current year. Athletes at this level compete in four races at clubs in Southern Ontario as a team and will proceed to semi finals and may proceed to finals as their results indicate. Teams will be selected on the basis of time trial results and gender ratio on each team. Snowboard Teams There will be a series of races for athletes between the ages of 7 and 19. Racers will compete on an individual basis rather than be scored as a team. Training will take place at the Brimacombe Ski Club with races being held throughout Southern Ontario. **Note - 7 year olds will be assessed at Christmas Camp by the coaches as to their individual independence and ability.
